Barrier System on 94" (2.4 m) Tall Posts
|
Barrier System Posts provide the framework for a 94" tall screened barrier that offers an enhanced level of fall protection.
The installed barrier provides guardrail equivalent protection for workers on scaffolds or ladders up to a platform or step height of 3 ft.
The barrier system also greatly reduces the risk of objects:
- falling from the protected level
- being blown by wind from the the protected level
Use any of the following 4 anchor posts to anchor the orange rail straps to structurally adequate elements of the building:

Column Post allows installation on existing columns.
No bolting required. |

Wall Post allows installation on slab walls
5 anchor bolts required. |

| CORNER POST |
Corner Post allows 90 degree turns.

Guide Posts (In Between Posts)
|
Use the following 2 guide posts to stiffen the guardrail and prevent deflection of the overhead strap should workers lean or fall on the barrier.

| MIDWAY POST |
A Midway Post is required if the distance between 2 immoveable posts will exceed 33 feet. columns.
Drill 4 holes infloor slab.
Bolt posts to slab with 4 HILTI bolts. |

| COLUMN POST |
The Column Post is easily attached to an existing column using the 3 captive red ratchet straps.
Secure post to column with red straps.
No drilling or bolting required. |

Fall Arrest Net for 94" Tall Barrier
|
|
Use this net to complete the barrier. The netting and attachment shackles are not optional if a 94" tall barrier is desired.
The netting prevents workers & objects from falling over the edge.

How to Build a 45" Tall Guardrail using 94" Tall Posts
|
|
All 94" tall posts can be used to build a 45" tall guardrail.
This feature is useful in the following situations:
- you want to build a 45" tall guardrail but only have 94" tall posts in your inventory.
- 94" tall posts with fall arrest net are in use. You intend to remove the barrier screen to facilitate work, yet must provide guardrail protection.
Installation Notes:
- The 10' long aluminum forked braces are not required if the 94" tall posts are used in a guardrail configuration without any overhead straps.
- To allow unobstructed operation of the Midrail ratchet, the Midrail ratchet strap will require a 4' extension strap with quick link (Part SR-4-NR). The extension strap positions the ratchet clear of the forked brace.
