Anti-Deflection Posts must be used to stiffen the barrier and prevent deflection of the straps below the OSHA mandated height of 39” when people lean or fall on the barrier.
These posts are NOT bolted to the floor.
The distance between any 2 StrapRail® Posts (Column Post, Wall Post, Corner Post, Inline Post, Midway Post, or Anti-Deflection Post) must not exceed 10 feet.
Install additional Anti-Deflection Posts where needed. Use a tape measure or the handy Post Spacer Strap to ensure that a StrapRail Post is present every 10 feet.
The Anti-Deflection Post consists of an aluminum angle post with 3 captive compression plates & eyebolts, and a stainless steel instruction label.
Every Anti-Deflection Post can be secured to the top rail strap with the optional brass padlock (all padlocks are keyed alike). |
