Midway Posts are installed between Anchor Posts to prevent outward and downward movement of the guardrail system.
The orange straps are easily slipped into the plastic guide of the Midway Post.
Quantity of 45" Tall Midway Posts Required per Guardrail System:
- Fixed Post interval of 50' or less = Midway Post Not Required
- Fixed Post interval of 50' to 100' = 1 Midway Post
Drill and bolt the Midway Post to the concrete floor slab at a point midway between the fixed posts*.
* A fixed post is one that is secured to the building. The following posts are classified as fixed posts: Column Post, Wall Post, Corner Post, Inline Post and Midway Post.
The Anti-Deflection Post (below) is not a fixed post. It is classified as a floating post since it is not affixed to the building, and can move with the barrier. |
